COVID-19 has thrown all our routines out of whack. We all had to modify our summer plans, and that will go for the rest of 2020, too. But as the heat begins to dissipate and pumpkin season approaches, take heart:

Enjoy live music outside on the patio every Friday from September 4 through October 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Located about 30 minutes from Loudoun Escape, this brewery has beautiful views and is a great place to spend a relaxing evening.

Bear Chase Brewing Company offers live music Thursday through Sunday. This is another spot where you can enjoy crisp mountain air with a stunning view. Seating is outdoor only, but you can buy pizza and pretzels from the tap room and take them out to the patio. Have a snack, enjoy a brew and listen to great tunes.

If you and your companions are a competitive bunch, you may enjoy the Pour House Trivia at 6 p.m. on Fridays at Vanish Farmwoods Brewery. It’s free to play and you can sign up your team on arrival. Tables at Vanish Farm are first-come, first-served, so show up early.
It doesn’t feel like fall without an outdoor festival where you can take in the leaves and enjoy the fruits of the season. Some, but not all, annual events have been canceled or gone virtual. But there are still a couple of local festivals we can recommend.

The Brambleton Fall Festival will take place October 3 from noon to 6 p.m. It’s only a 15-minute drive from Loudoun Escape. Organizers are still determining what the event will look like this year, so keep checking the website for further details.
Great Country Farms

The Fall Pumpkin Harvest Festival at Great Country Farms is an annual staple in Northern Virginia. Families come from all over the region. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. September 28 to October 31, visitors can pick pumpkins, watch the pig races, get lost in the corn maze, and enjoy cider pressing demos while snacking on cider donuts. If you can’t make it out to the festival in October, don’t fret. You can also experience the cider pressing demos and donuts every weekend in September.
No matter what your pleasure, Loudoun County has great activities to offer. Loudoun Escape is conveniently located to all of the ones we’ve mentioned here. It’s also central to a number of local wineries, restaurants and breweries.
